World Health Orgaization (WHO) Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Dr. Ahmed al-Mandhari said it is too early to determine the possibility of the coronavirus pandemic turning out to be a seasonal disease in spite of vaccines that are likely to be developed soon.
No COVID-19 vaccines have been officially registered at the WHO so far, Mandhari added in a video conference held on Thursday on the developments of COVID-19 in the Eastern Mediterranean region and response efforts at the national levels.
No vaccines will be administrated until they are carefully tested by the bodies concerned in each country, he said.
