Oman\u2019s Sultan Qaboos Bin Said received Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the Omani capital Muscat on Sunday for a three-day state visit to the Sultanate, while Egypt\u2019s Ambassador to Oman Mohamed Ghonaim said that the situation in Yemen will be the priority subjects of discussions between Sisi and Qaboos.<\/p>\n
He added that Sisi will also discuss all outstanding bilateral and Arab issues, as well as other international issues, in a framework of wisdom and reason to find suitable solutions to the crises.<\/p>\n
Bin Said and Sisi held talks at Al Alam Palace, with the two leaders reviewing the good relations binding the two countries, as well as the fruitful cooperation between them in various spheres which serve the mutual interests of both the Omani and Egyptian people.<\/p>\n
Omani newspaper Al-Watan said that Sisi\u2019s visit to the Sultanate and the summit held with Qaboos are of great importance, not only for the convergence of positions regarding various regional issues and developments, but also because it is a \u201csummit of wisdom.\u201d<\/p>\n
It went on to describe it as \u201csincere and diligent work for finding indispensable peaceful solutions [despite] the current differences.\u201d Various Arab peoples, it continued, \u201care paying [their] cost from their present and future, especially [with] constructive Omani contributions to many of these issues and developments.\u201d<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Sisi will meet with 40 businessmen to discuss economic developments.<\/p>\n
Sisi was introduced to the distinctive Islamic architectural style of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, which is an important center for Islamic studies and is the graduation site for many preachers, intellectuals, and publishers.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, on Monday, Sisi visited the Royal Opera House in Muscat and the Oman Armed Forces Museum.<\/p>\n
