Seven people were killed on Tuesday after an an elevator collapsed at Banha University Hospital, in Egypt\u2019s Qalyubiya<\/p>\n
governorate.
\nAccording to medical sources at the hospital, the seven killed were all stood inside the elevator when it collapsed. The collapse of the elevator took place from the hospital\u2019s seventh floor, as a result of damage to the main wire operating the elevator, according media reports on statements from officials.<\/p>\n
The people killed had traveled from the neighboring Monufiya governorate to visit their grandmother, who is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, revealed the hospital sources.<\/p>\n
The halls of the hospital witnessed altercations between grieving families of the victims and a number of officials who arrived at the site of the incident.
