Ten workshops will be held within the proceedings of the 29th edition of Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater (CIFET) headed by Dr. Gamal Yakout.<\/p>\n
The workshops will tackle multiple elements of theatrical works.<\/p>\n
Moreover, the workshops are presented by artists from various countries and states: Greece, America, Canada, Algeria, and Egypt.<\/p>\n
CIFET\u2019s director, Dr. Mohamed El-Shafei, states: some workshops are to be presented in a number of Egyptian governorates, aiming at highlighting the cultural rights of citizens in all Egyptian governorates and cities, and benefiting all lovers of the art of theater.<\/p>\n
The workshop committee is headed by director Khaled Galal. <\/p>\n
Regarding the details of the workshops and the instructors\u2019 names, El-Shafei points out thatthe Polish theatrical filmmaker, Daniel Arbaczewski is to present a workshop entitled \u201cA performance journey through emotions\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Greek director Maria Frangi and Greek artist Babis Makris are to present a workshop entitled \u201cThe making of the shadow theater\u201d.<\/p>\n
Additionally, a workshop entitled \u201cgoing beyond nature in kinetic theater\u201d will be presented by Juliana Frick, Hannah Gaff, and Nicolette Routhier from the USA.<\/p>\n
Thanassis Chalkias and Electra Gennata from Greece are to present a workshop entitled \u201ctheatrical masks\u201d.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Spanish artist Tony Casla is to present a workshop entitled \u201cfaith theater\u201d. Algerian artist, Mohamed Cherchell will present the workshop \u201cactors\u2019 preparation\u201d. Besides, American scenographer John Hoey will present the workshop \u201cprojection mapping\u201d. Canadian artist and director, Dominic Champagne is to present the workshop \u201cwho\u2019s there… reflection on Hamlet\u201d. In addition to this, Egyptian decorator, Hazem Shebl will present the workshop \u201cscenography of theatrical performances\u201d and Dr. Alaa Al-Basha will present the workshop \u201cphotography of theatrical performances\u201d.<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that the 29th edition of CIFET is scheduled to take place between September 1-8, under the auspices of the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Dr. Nevine El-Kilani.<\/p>\n
