CAIRO \u2013 27 June 2022: The full transition of Ministries and employees to Egypt\u2019s New Administrative capital will be by the end of 2022 according to the Capital\u2019s spokesperson Khaled Al-Husseini.<\/p>\n
He added in televised statements, Sunday that work rates in the capital are moving at an \u2018accelerating pace.\u2019<\/p>\n
Husseini explained that more important than finishing the governmental district project within the capital is the establishment of axes to reach the capital, stressing the importance of providing and securing transport axes.<\/p>\n
Egypt\u2019s cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) has denied earlier this week, what as circulated on some social media pages claiming that the implementation of the projects of the New Administrative Capital was limited to 25 percent only.<\/p>\n
Last February, Egypt’s New Administrative Capital was named the best Arab sustainable development project 2021 during the 4th Conference of the Arab Parliament and Heads of Arab Councils and Parliaments.<\/p>\n
House Speaker Hanafi el Gebali received the award.<\/p>\n
The Arab Parliament described Egypt’s new capital as “the largest smart city in the Middle East”.<\/p>\n
The UAE’s Mars Mission (Hope Probe) and Saudi Arabia’s NEOM got similar awards, while Riyadh’s (Middle East Green) was chosen as the best Arab initiative for sustainable development 2021.<\/p>\n
With an area of 170,000 feddans, the NAC includes six residential districts.<\/p>\n
The central business district is among the most important ongoing projects that includes 19 hotel, residential and administrative towers, in addition to the Iconic Tower.<\/p>\n
The district includes schools, restaurants and a hospital. The capital also has the governmental district that encompasses the Cabinet’s building and 34 buildings as well different ministries.<\/p>\n
