CAIRO \u2013 19 May 2022: The Arab Parliament will organize a forum of boosting economic integration among Arab countries under the title: \u201cintra trade and role of public and private sectors\u201d in Egypt on 23-25 May.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the parliament said the forum will be held under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and with high-level Arabic presence.<\/p>\n
Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al-Asoumi said the forum aims to discuss ways to achieve economic integration among Arab countries in light of the current challenges facing the region and the world.<\/p>\n
He added that the forum will discuss the status of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) and review Arab experiences in inter-trade and the role of the private sector in this regard.<\/p>\n
The forum will aim at discussing facilitating trade exchange out of the international orientation and Arab economic integration as a main way to enhance solidarity among Arab countries and achieve the desired development and prosperity for the Arab people.<\/p>\n
The forum will also discuss the international and regional developments regarding the repercussions of the global crisis and its impact on the economic conditions in the Arab region.<\/p>\n
During the forum, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli will give opening remarks. Also, Asoumi and Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization Nasser Al-Qahtani will also speak during the forum.<\/p>\n
For the first time, the forum will be held with the attendance of high-level figures, including ministers and representatives of Arab countries. This includes Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea and Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait.<\/p>\n
Also, Sudan\u2019s Minister of Trade and Supply in Sudan Amal Saleh Saad, Libya\u2019s Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, and Iraqi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Arkan Shehab Ahmed will be among the attendees.<\/p>\n
This is in addition to Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Khaled Hanafi and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and president of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization.<\/p>\n
Representatives of the League of Arab States, the World Trade Organization, the International Monetary Fund, the Arab federations of industries and chambers of commerce and a number of Arab businessmen will also participate in the forum.<\/p>\n
