CAIRO \u2013 31 March 2022: Chairman of Sudan\u2019s Transitional Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan said that \u201cthe eternal relations between Egypt and Sudan and the sustainable ties are the focus of all discussion and meetings between the officials of both countries\u201d.<\/p>\n
He added in press conference, Wednesday that hosting more than four million Sudanese refuges in Egypt confirms the strong ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur duty is not to allow anything to hat disturb the eternal relations between Egypt and Sudan. We went through a transitional period in Sudan, but it faltered due to international interventions, the absence of political forces and many conflicts.\u201d Burhan said.<\/p>\n
Egypt and Sudan affirmed the need for joint work to ensure that the ongoing global developments do not harm efforts to support Sudan\u2019s path toward achieving political, security, and economic stability.<\/p>\n
The remarks were made as delegations from both countries held expanded talks in Cairo after a meeting between Egypt\u2019s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Chairman of Sudan\u2019s Transitional Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The meeting came within the framework of the brotherly, historic, and strong relations that gather Egypt and Sudan and the common destiny that they share, a joint statement by the two countries read.<\/p>\n
A spirit of cordiality and brotherhood has prevailed during the discussions, which reflects the deep and special relations between the two sisterly countries, the statement said.<\/p>\n
The Egyptian side affirmed the continuation of sending assistance packages and logistic and humanitarian aid to Sudan in addition to providing technical support to the Sudanese cadres and activating the programs of bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is based on Egypt\u2019s unlimited support for Sudan in all fields and at various levels as well as the close link between the Egyptian and Sudanese national security,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
