CAIRO \u2013 8 February 2022: President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh described the talks with President Sisi, as \u2018fruitful and constructive\u2019<\/p>\n
He indicated during a joint press conference held, Monday at Al-Ittihadiya Palace that they agreed to develop relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh asserted that his visit to Egypt reflected how far the two countries are bound by sisterly and deeply-rooted strategic ties on all fronts.<\/p>\n
At a joint press conference with president Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Guelleh said his presence in Egypt after the historic visit of his Egyptian counterpart in Djibouti reflected how strong are the ties binding the two countries on all fronts, adding that the visit comes within the framework of the joint keenness and strong political will to push forward their relations.<\/p>\n
He also reiterated that the two sides are keen on continuing their consultations and cooperation regarding a number of regional and international issues of common interest.<\/p>\n
Talks between the two sides took up ways of enhancing bilateral ties at all levels as well as exchanging viewpoints toward a host of issues of mutual concern, he said.<\/p>\n
He further said that he agreed with President Sisi on opening new horizons for cooperation between the two countries that are not only limited to economic, investment and health domains, but also encompassing security, transportation, infrastructure and capacity building.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe both agreed as well on the importance of boosting cooperation to establish security and stability in the region and working to attain joint interests and promote our integration,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Egypt\u2019s president Abdel Fattah al Sisi said that the bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Djibouti witnessed \u2018important qualitative\u2019 steps in all fields during the past period.<\/p>\n
He added that he agreed with President Omar Guelleh on increasing mutual investments between both countries and supporting the economic development efforts in Djibouti.<\/p>\n
