CAIRO \u2013 27 January 2022: The Egyptian Ambassador to Japan, Ambassador Mohamed Abu Bakr, met with the Governor of Tokyo, Yuriko Koike, during which they discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides.<\/p>\n
They also discussed measures that can be taken to develop this cooperation to include various fields, in line with the great momentum witnessed by the Egyptian-Japanese relations in various sectors over the past years.<\/p>\n
For its part, Koike expressed her full support for strengthening relations between the two countries, given her personal interest in cooperating with the Egyptian side, in light of Egypt’s special status, as she wants to achieve a tangible leap in bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
In the same context, Ambassador “Abu Bakr” stressed the speciality of the year 2022 for the relations between the two countries because it represents an important stage that includes the celebration of many events and activities related to the course of the historical bonds that unite the two countries.<\/p>\n
He also added that this momentum must be taken advantage of to deepen and advance aspects of cooperation.<\/p>\n
In 1990, a fraternity agreement was signed between the cities of Cairo and Tokyo, which represents an important framework for establishing cooperation between the two capitals.<\/p>\n
