CAIRO \u2013 9 December 2021: A delegation of the Islamic Research Academy in Al-Azhar Institute in North Sinai organized a visit to the Diocese of Dahiyat al-Salam in Arish city, where discussed with Reverend Gabriel Ibrahim importance of raising youths\u2019 awareness, and correcting misconceptions.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by Reverend Gabriel Ibrahim, the representative of the Coptic Diocese in the Al-Salam suburb of Arish, and Dr. Saeed Amer, Assistant Secretary for Advocacy and Religious Media at the complex, Dr. Ilham Shaheen, Assistant Secretary-General for Women Preachers Affairs, and Sheikh Yasser Al-Fiqi, Assistant Secretary of the Higher Committee for Advocacy.<\/p>\n
For his part, Reverend Gabriel Ibrahim welcomed the Secretary-General and his accompanying delegation, stressing the role of Al-Azhar in raising community awareness and correcting misconceptions and false ideas, as he expressed his happiness with this visit.<\/p>\n
Al-Azhar delegation stressed Al-Azhar\u2019s interested in engaging in community issues, especially in North Sinai, emphasizing the spirit of cooperation and love among the people of the same nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cEgyptian state seeks development and construction, and this requires us to build the intellectual property of the people of the country, for thought must be confronted with thought, which values \u200b\u200bthe scientific role of religious institutions represented in Al-Azhar and the Church,\u201d the delegation said.<\/p>\n
While Dr. Saeed Amer said that Al-Azhar aims to train Al-Azhar preachers on how to deal with suspicions related to each region and respond to them, and this bears fruit in the awareness convoys organized by Al-Azhar to all governorates of the Republic.<\/p>\n
Dr. Elham Shaheen also referred to the role of Al-Azhar preachers in educating women and girls nation-wide, through direct and electronic awareness programs aimed at providing the correct understanding on many important issues.<\/p>\n
