{"id":246182,"date":"2021-11-19T18:15:47","date_gmt":"2021-11-19T16:15:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/almowatna.news\/?p=246182"},"modified":"2021-11-19T18:15:47","modified_gmt":"2021-11-19T16:15:47","slug":"honor-host-fiba-intercontinental-cup-ebf-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/almowatna.news\/?p=246182","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s an honor to host the FIBA Intercontinental Cup: EBF President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CAIRO-19 November 2021: Magdy Abofrekha, President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation (EBF), revealed that Egypt has everything needed to organize the 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Cairo hosts the competition between 11 and 13 February with the participation of Zamalek, the champions of the Basketball Africa League.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s an honor to host the FIBA Intercontinental Cup and it&#8217;s a proud occasion for Egyptian sport and for the Egyptian Basketball Federation,&#8221; Magdy Abofrekha told FIBA website.<\/p>\n<p> The competition will be played in a four-team format with the participation of Brazil\u2019s Flamengo, Lakeland Magic and Spain\u2019s San Pablo Burgos alongside Zamalek.<\/p>\n<p>Abofrekha added \u201cOrganizing this competition is a new step towards proving our ability to once again host global events, as we hosted the FIBA U19 World Cup in 2017 and many other international tournaments.
