Minister of Trade and Industry Neveen Gamea said 41 Egyptian companies of various industrial sectors will take part in the Inter-African Trade Fair (IATF-2021) that will be held in South Africa as of Monday.<\/p>\n
In statements following her arrival at Durban, South Africa to take part in the 2nd edition of IATF, Gamea said the fair is the biggest of its kind in Africa as some 24 African states are participating in its week-long proceedings and activities to showcase their products and services and exchange knowledge on the issues related to trade and investment in the African markets.<\/p>\n
Gamea is scheduled to take part in the National Day allocated to Egypt along with other six African states which will expound their trade and investment opportunities and promote their tourist and cultural attractions.<\/p>\n
She will also chair a session for partnership between the governmental and private sectors to enhance inter-African trade and investment among the African countries.<\/p>\n
Organized by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in collaboration with the African Union (AU) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, IATF2021 provides a platform to promote trade under the AfCFTA. It will bring together continental and global buyers and sellers, and will enable stakeholders to share trade, investment and market information as well as trade finance and trade facilitation solutions designed to support intra-African trade and the economic integration of the continent.<\/p>\n
Egypt would be hosting a pavilion of 882 square metres at IATF2021.<\/p>\n
The Egyptian pavilion at IATF2021 will be showcasing the goods and services of 41 Egyptian companies across numerous sectors: banking services; cars; chemical industries; engineering industries; food; furniture; handicrafts; leather; ready-made garments; spinning and weaving; and more. Egypt\u2019s exhibitors include the National Bank which will be addressing issues related to financial transactions of trade between African countries; and one of its most prominent companies, MCV, which is in the automotive industry.<\/p>\n
