CAIRO \u2013 26 October 2021: Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel al Assoumi praised President Abdel Fattah El Sisi decision to end the state of emergency nationwide.<\/p>\n
The decision reflects Egypt’s efforts to establish security and stability, and honors the great sacrifices exerted by the Egyptian fighters to combat terrorism and extremism, Assoumi said in a press release.<\/p>\n
Revoking the state of emergency is part of efforts made by the Egyptian state to achieve development, he noted.<\/p>\n
The decision is one of the fruits of the national strategy for human rights, which was launched by President Sisi in September, Assoumi noted.<\/p>\n
Egypt\u2019s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi declared on Monday the cancellation of the extension of the state of emergency throughout the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is my pleasure to share together this moment, for which we have always striven with hard work. Egypt has become – thanks to its great people and loyal men – an oasis of security and stability in the region; hence, I decided, for the first time in years, to cancel the extension of the state of emergency throughout the country,\u201d says President Sisi on his official Facebook page.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis decision was has been made by Egyptians themselves over the past few years throughout their honest and sincere participation in the efforts of development and construction,\u201d he added
\n\u201cWhen I declare this decision, I do remember, with honor and respect, our heroic martyrs, without whom we would not have achieved safety and stability,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cTogether, we steadily move forward to a new republic, with God\u2019s help and support. Long live Egypt, Long Live Egypt,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
