Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli launched on Wednesday a campaign to encourage citizens to register on the Health Ministry’s website to get the COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n
During his inspection of a pop-up vaccination bus to encourage citizens to get a COVID-19 jab, in presence of Health Minister Hala Zayed, Madbouli stressed the importance of receiving the vaccine to provide protection from infection or reduce the severity of COVID-19 symptoms.<\/p>\n
The campaign is in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to expand vaccine access, the health minister said.<\/p>\n
She added that the campaign will be launched in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria governorates in the initial stage and will be launched later in other governorates.<\/p>\n
The campaign will last for 10 days from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, Zayed said.<\/p>\n
The health ministry allocated three open-topped and equipped buses that will tour each governorate, Zayed said, adding that each bus will include 30-strong healthcare staff. <\/p>\n
