A fundraiser will be launched to collect donations from Egyptians in the U.S. and Canada on Sept. 25 as part of integrating Egyptians abroad in Egypt\u2019s sustainable development 2030.<\/p>\n
The campaign, launched by Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, comes after a series of meetings between the minister with officials at Haya Karima (decent life) initiative, and Laila Pence, the president and co-founder of Pence Wealth Management, and one of America\u2019s top wealth advisors.<\/p>\n
The donations will be used in Haya Karima initiative, which aims to improve the standards of life for the neediest community groups across the state and raise the level of efficiency of the daily services in villages. They will also go to the Lifeboats initiative, as opposed to the \u201cdeath boats\u201d of illegal immigration via the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n
The meetings set plans to advance vocational education and regular education in the cities from which most illegal immigrants come from. Locals of these cities and villages will also be made aware of means of legal and safe immigration as well as alternatives to stay and lead a decent life.<\/p>\n
For her part, Pence said she has seen true renaissance in varying fields in Egypt, and that Egypt lives \u201ca new era,\u201d emphasizing that communicating Egypt\u2019s successes and achievements to Egyptians abroad is vital.<\/p>\n
She added that she has promoted the promising investment opportunities in Egypt amongst investors abroad, especially that the Egyptian market has some \u201cgolden opportunities\u201d for them.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Immigration signed a protocol with Haya Karima to study and meet the needs of governorates where illegal immigration is reported, as well as to exchange information and expertise and benefit from the experience of Egyptians abroad in the relevant fields.<\/p>\n
Head of the Regional Planning sector at the Ministry of Planning, Laila Maghib, said the ministry has launched several projects in different governorates to advance local communities, praising the concerted efforts between many ministries to accomplish the 2030 vision.<\/p>\n
Maghib said the Ministry of Planning has embarked on mobile theaters and libraries to raise the awareness of Egyptians in the countryside on development issues, including the issue of illegal immigration.<\/p>\n
Haya Karima initiative witnesses a unique collaboration between ministries, private sector, and the civil society to achieve its objective.<\/p>\n
Its objectives include investing in human capital, developing infrastructure services, raising the quality of human development services, and economic development, decent residence, proper education, and eradicate digital illiteracy.<\/p>\n
