Presidential Advisor for Health Affairs Mohamed Tag El-Din asserted that the presidential initiatives have contributed to settling health problems of millions of citizens.<\/p>\n
He added during an interview on Egypt” TV program, the presidential initiatives have been seeking to find out quick solutions for a set of problems facing the health sector.<\/p>\n
The health sector is currently witnessing a radical change in view of the recent update of technological and technical know-how in addition to providing qualified human cadres to cope up with such technologies inside the medical facilities, he added.<\/p>\n
The constitutional reform in the health sector has already covered the service provided along with improving the skills of the medical cadres and the diagnosis and treatments systems, he explained.<\/p>\n
He also praised the management of coronavirus crisis under the leadership and guidance of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.<\/p>\n
Egypt\u2019s initiative of \u201c100 Million Seha\u201d (100 Million Healthy Lives) for eliminating the virus C and detecting non-communicable diseases has saved millions of Egyptian lives during the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n
Member of the Executive Committee of the Presidential Initiative for Women Health Loay Qassem stated on March that 12 million women were screened in 18 months for breast cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.<\/p>\n
The official pointed out that 3,000 healthcare units across the country offer screening for breast cancer. He added that the initiative has turned into a permanent program that aims for the preservation of women health.<\/p>\n
It is noted that the initiative was part of 100 Million Healthy Lives Campaign that screened Egyptians for hepatitis C, and chronic diseases.<\/p>\n
Egypt\u2019s initiative was launched in October 2018 under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and ended in April 2019 after screening more than 45 million citizens. The Ministry of Health and Population vowed to completely eliminate the disease from Egypt in 2022.<\/p>\n
