Maadi Misdemeanor Court ruled Thursday to sentence to one year in prison a defendant who harbored the molester who sexually abused a girl in March.<\/p>\n
Attorney General Hamada Al-Sawy, had ordered the referral of an accused person who had lured a 6-year-old girl, into a property with the intention of keeping her away from public, and touched her at sensitive parts of her body.<\/p>\n
The public prosecution established the evidence against the accused based on testimony of four witnesses, and the girl herself.<\/p>\n
According to a statement by the Public Prosecution, the defendant seduced a seven-year-old girl and attempted to sexually harass her by touching her inappropriately.<\/p>\n

A man lured a girl selling tissues in the street in Maadi district, and made her follow him into a residential building, where he committed his crime.<\/p>\n
A lady who works at a laboratory in the same residential building saw the harasser on a CCTV while touching the girl\u2019s body.<\/p>\n
The lady said in the investigations that she opened the door abruptly, confronted the man, who fled the scene after he knew that his crime was recorded on the surveillance camera.<\/p>\n
The lady then published the recorded video that shows the incident on Facebook; the video became viral and triggered angry posts calling for holding the harasser accountable for his crime. Social media users also hailed the brave lady for her rapid action to rescue the girl and help in arresting the harasser.<\/p>\n
Maadi child molester confessed during the investigations that he deliberately touched the 12-year-old girl’s body improperly, adding that he \u2018deeply regrets his actions.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018I finished my work early and went for a short walk in Maadi district where I found the child who came after me asking for money, so I gave her LE5\u201d the molester said. He claimed that the girl touched him which aroused him sexually.<\/p>\n
He added that he went inside a random building in street and called her, so she followed. And then he started to touch her for few seconds before the interference of a woman who shouted at him and said that she saw what he did on a CCTV.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt so nervous and confused after seeing the woman who told me that I\u2019ve been caught on cameras and left quickly heading to my home, where I had dinner and went to bed.\u201d He said in his statements.<\/p>\n
He was referred to the criminal court for trial.<\/p>\n
