Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) provided 30 million daily work for irregular workers from July 2014 until the end of 2020, according to Minister of Trade and Industry and CEO of MSMEDA Nevine Gamea.<\/p>\n
The Minister stated, in a statement, Monday, that this was done through the infrastructure and community development projects that were implemented under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program and with funding from various donors in all governorates.<\/p>\n
She indicated that the agency is working within the framework of an integrated system in cooperation with various ministries and governorates to implement the directives of President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, to provide a better environment for the citizens in the villages most in need. <\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the past six years, it has provided funding of LE 2.4 billion through which projects have been implemented to provide drinking water, and developing sewage networks, paving roads, cleaning canals and drains, and repairing schools and youth centers in villages and hamlets that need these services most,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
She explained that the agency relies in the implementation of these projects on local contractors in various governorates who are trained and qualified to use intensive labor instead of machinery and equipment, which provides an operating diary for a daily wage for irregular workers who can develop their skills and increase their chances of obtaining better job opportunities after the end of these projects, in addition to community service projects in the fields of health, education and the environment.<\/p>\n
