Egyptian security forces arrested Hatem Abdel-Latif, former Minister of Transportation during the one-year era of the banned Muslim Brotherhood group, a security source told Youm7.<\/p>\n
Abdel-Latif was detained upon an arrest warrant and is currently being questioned by the investigation authorities, the source added.<\/p>\n
On 29 August 2020: Mahmoud Ezzat, the acting leader of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, got arrested on Friday during a security raid on an apartment in Cairo after having been on the run for seven years.<\/p>\n
Despite misleading information regarding his whereabouts, security services were able to locate Ezzat, 76, who is also the head of the Brotherhood’s International Organization.<\/p>\n
The raid took place upon a warrant by the Supreme State Security Prosecution.<\/p>\n
On Dec. 3, the security services arrested Sayed Rajab Al-Sweirki, owner of the \u201cAl-Tawhid and Al-Nour\u201d shop, against the background of the accusation attributed to him of \u201cfinancing a terrorist group.\u201d<\/p>\n
Security sources said that Al-Swerky will appear before the investigation authorities in the coming hours.<\/p>\n
In January 2015, the Agouza Misdemeanor Court in Giza acquitted the owner of the shop of \u201cTawheed and Al-Nour\u201d of the charge of \u201cinsulting the Egyptian flag\u201d, as shoes with the flag were sold in his chain of stores.<\/p>\n
