It encompasses five barrages that serve seven canals in Asyut, Menya, Beni Suef, Fayoum, and Giza providing 9.6 billion cubic meters of irrigation water to 1.67 million feddans.<\/p>\n<p>The loan agreement between the ministry and JICA was signed in March 2015, and consists of financing the design and construction works.
