A knife attack close to the former Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris has seriously injured at least four persons, The Local France quoted the police as saying.<\/p>\n
The attack happened late on Friday morning on Rue Nicolas Appert, just off Boulevard Richard Lenoir in the 11th arrondissement, close to the former offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.<\/p>\n
Police say one person has been arrested in the Bastille area of the city and no other suspects are being sought. Bastille Metro station is closed.<\/p>\n
It was initially reported that four people had been injured, two seriously, but police later corrected this information and said only two people – a man and a woman – had sustained injuries. Their condition was reported as serious but not life-threatening.<\/p>\n
A reported suspicious package found near the scene has been examined and is not a bomb.<\/p>\n
