{"id":187714,"date":"2020-07-09T21:51:12","date_gmt":"2020-07-09T19:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/almowatna.news\/?p=187714"},"modified":"2020-07-09T21:51:12","modified_gmt":"2020-07-09T19:51:12","slug":"west-alexandria-district-head-sentenced-3yrs-prison-bribery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/almowatna.news\/?p=187714","title":{"rendered":"West Alexandria district head sentenced to 3yrs in prison over bribery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alexandria Criminal Court sentenced the head of West Alexandria district to 3 years in prison over receiving a bribe from a contractor to cover up violations in the district.<\/p>\n<p>Supervision authorities in Alexandria succeeded in arresting the head of Gharb district for receiving a financial bribe of L.E. 30,000.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest took place inside the district headquarters, and all papers and documents related to his office were seized; he was transferred to the prosecution to take legal measures against him.<\/p>\n<p>In March, Egypt\u2019s Administrative Control Authority arrested a parliament member over requesting and accepting a LE 300,000 ($19,070) bribe from a private real estate company to allow the implementation of one of its projects in the capital, Cairo.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2020, the ACA ordered the arrest of Abdel Azim Hussein, chief of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), for allegedly accepting bribes, state\u2019s media reported.<\/p>\n<p>President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has always asserted the necessity of applying strict measures within the government institutions to crack down on any violation.
