The President\u2019s greeting cable was published on social media pages of the Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad.<\/p>\n
President Sisi wished the Egyptians more progress and welfare, praying to God to protect Egypt and the entire world.<\/p>\n
Egypt\u2019s Dar al-Iftaa announced on Wednesday evening that the holy month of Ramadan will start on Friday, sending its greetings to President Sisi and the Egyptians.<\/p>\n
It is scheduled that Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli will hold a press conference on Thursday to announce the state\u2019s new procedures against the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic during the holy month.<\/p>\n
Since mid-March, Egypt has taken strict measures to protect the public from the spread of the coronavirus. The government has taken gradual steps in dealing with the coronavirus spread, starting with suspending schools and universities, and international flights.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, a night-time curfew was imposed on March 24, 2020, while all restaurants, cafes, cafeterias, casinos, night clubs, bars, shopping centers (malls), and other local shops shut down completely until April 23.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the Ministry of Awqaf [Endowment] extended the closure of the mosques and the places of worship nationwide until further notice.<\/p>\n
