A 60-year-old Egyptian man who suffers from hypertension, water on the lungs, and cirrhosis recovered from COVID-19 and left quarantine at 15th of May Hospital in Helwan neighborhood.<\/p>\n
The man and his son tested positive for COVID-19, but the father had to be subject to mechanical ventilation. He was also given medication for hypertension, and diuretics.<\/p>\n
While he was being prepared to be taken off the ventilator, severe bleeding occurred. A medical telescope screening was conducted showing that a number of varicose veins were bleeding in the upper part of the digestive system. Hence, the bleeding was stopped, and blood transfusion was carried out.<\/p>\n
On Saturday marking the ninth week in Egypt, infections and deaths recorded 1,939 and 146, respectively, increasing by 145 and 11. However, the total number of patients whose test results turned negative became 542, including 426 who left the quarantine hospital.<\/p>\n
