The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) ratified on Thursday Egypt’s report on human rights, and praised its efforts and positive and quick response to the majority of the Council’s recommendations.<\/p>\n
The report described the Egyptian cooperation as “constructive and committed to international recommendations and pledges”.<\/p>\n
HRC report also said that Egypt is one of the most cooperative countries with the UNHRC, as the Egyptian delegation handed five detailed reports on Childhood, the right to housing, enforced disappearance and the economic and social rights.<\/p>\n
136 countries handed Egypt number of recommendations; most of it was praising the government’s efforts on the human right’s regard and asking for more.<\/p>\n
Pakistan delegation praised Egypt’s efforts to preventing human trafficking, empowering women and protect them from discrimination. Philippine’s delegation also praised the social protection network approved by the Egyptian government for women and recommended raising awareness regarding women along with supporting them through providing small and medium-sized companies.<\/p>\n
South Korea demanded providing security for civil society organizations. Russia praised the efforts to promote human rights and the progress made since the previous session 2014, in addition to efforts to reduce extreme poverty, achieve sustainable development and provide health care.<\/p>\n
