At the invitation of Greece, Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Anani visited Athena where he met with his Greek counterpart Haris Theoharis to discuss means of boosting coastal and maritime tourism cooperation.<\/p>\n
The discussions aimed to revive a 2017 tripartite agreement on cruise tourism between Egypt, Greece, and Cyprus, said the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n
The meeting tackled the Egyptian tourism programs on the religious tourism, to which Greek tourists gravitate, the statement continued.<\/p>\n
The Egyptian Minister invited his Greek counterpart to attend \u201can Egyptian night\u201d that will be organized by the Egyptian ministry on the sidelines of the International Tourism Bourse in Berlin (ITB Berlin) due in March.<\/p>\n
Last year, in a meeting held on the sidelines of the IT travel trade fair in Berlin, former Minister of Tourism Rania Mashat and her Cypriot and Greek counterparts agreed to form a joint working group to study the newly-reached agreement.<\/p>\n
The study will include maritime ports of the three countries to which the cruises will visit, Mashat said.<\/p>\n
