Egyptian soprano Rita Ashkar will perform Albert Herring opera.<\/p>\n

This role has taught me a lot and helped me develop in every possible way. I\u2019m so thankful I got the chance to be part of such an amazing production and to have had the chance to share the stage with very talented people from whom I\u2019ve learnt quite a lot” the young Egyptian soprano stated on her official Facebook page.<\/p>\n
Askar will perform the role of Miss Wordsworth in the German opera composed by Benjamin Britten.<\/p>\n
Albert Herring opera which consists of three acts is produced by Germany’s University of Music Detmold (Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Detmold), which Ashkar joined since 2018.<\/p>\n
Askar was a member of the musical theatre company ”Fabrica”, headed by the veteran Egyptian soprano Neveen Allouba.<\/p>\n
She has performed opera, jazz and pop on many events at numerous Egyptian venues including the Cairo Opera House.<\/p>\n
Askar is graduated from the American University in Cairo’s economics department.<\/p>\n
The talented young Egyptian soprano which is currently based in Germany started singing at the age of 12.<\/p>\n
She took part in a number of singing competition in Germany, Italy and Turkey.<\/p>\n
She was then accepted at the University of Music Detmold, one of the most prestigious music schools in Germany, where she pursues her singing education.<\/p>\n
