A military source told Russia Today that the Arab Syrian Army restored control over Ma`arat al-Nu`man city, which used to be Al Nusra Front stronghold southern Idlib, as well as Wadi Deif Base.<\/p>\n
The victory was followed by the capture of Kafar Roma town bordering Ma`arat al-Nu`man, and other 15 villages and towns in the area in addition to blocking the road between Ma`arat al-Nu`man and Saraqib city.<\/p>\n
Most territories in Idlib fall within a de-escalation zone that includes parts of Homs, Latakia, and Aleppo, and houses 12 Turkish control points.<\/p>\n
The militants have been attacking the Syrian Armed Forces sites since December triggering counterattacks that liberated hundreds of square kilometers from armed groups.<\/p>\n
