The units will operate within the new health insurance system to serve the public.<\/p>\n<p>Registrations in the system started last October.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry explained that the development work is going at a fast pace as all development work is scheduled to be finalized by February 2020, indicating that the unit serves about 29,000 citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The new system gives beneficiaries the freedom to choose their health service providers and reduces personal spending on medical care.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 6,000 surgeries have been carried out within the recently introduced system. Registration locations in Ismailiyah will be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot phase was launched in Port Said in July 2019, registering 506,000 citizens.
