Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Guinean counterpart Mamadi Tour\u00e9 stressed on Tuesday the depth and strength of ties between Egypt and Guinea in all fields. <\/p>\n
This came during a press conference at the final session of the 6th session of the joint Egyptian-Guinean committee. <\/p>\n
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Guinean President Alpha Cond\u00e9 are keen on enhancing ties and efforts in favor of Africa and coordinating stances in the African Union to reach solutions for the African issues, Shoukry said.<\/p>\n
The top diplomat revealed that the Egyptian and Guinean sides held meetings for two days through which several agreements had been signed in the maritime, environment, and archaeological domains. These agreements will be activated in the coming period. <\/p>\n
He described his talks with Tour\u00e9 as fruitful as they mulled issues of mutual interest, regional issues, and counter-terrorism efforts. <\/p>\n
Tour\u00e9, for his part, said the bilateral talks reflected the two countries’ willingness to expand horizons of cooperation, noting that he conveyed a message from the president to Sisi. <\/p>\n
He affirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of combating terrorism, training the domains of security and diplomacy. <\/p>\n
The talks touched on increasing the number of scholarships and educational missions from Egypt to Guinea as well as the situation in the West Africa region.<\/p>\n
