Education Ministry Undersecretary Nabawi Bahi said a logistics diploma – which falls within the framework of the new vocational education system – is the first of its kind in Egypt. <\/p>\n
In statements on Sunday, Bahi said Egypt needs qualified logistic cadres to serve in giant national projects, such as the Suez Canal axis. <\/p>\n
He noted that the three-year diploma was first launched in two schools in Egypt in 2016. <\/p>\n
The education ministry launched the diploma in tandem with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its program Workforce Improvement and Skills Enhancement (WISE). <\/p>\n
WISE is meant to improve technical secondary education to meet the needs of the job market, benefiting vocational school students and teachers as well as the private sector.<\/p>\n
