Egyptian mega star Adel Emam revealed to Independent Arabia website that the delay of his upcoming series “Valantino” from Ramadan 2019 to Ramadan 2020 is not a problem. <\/p>\n
Emam added that there are no disagreements with the production company and the main reason behind the delay was that there wasn\u2019t enough time for the series to come out with the targeted quality. <\/p>\n
Emam denied all the rumors about his illness and said he is in good health and thanked all his fans. <\/p>\n
Under the slogan of “In celebration of Adel Imam’s birthday”, CEO of Egyptian Media Group Tamer Mursi signed a contract with mega star Adel Emam to produce the series “Valantino” to be released in Ramadan 2020. <\/p>\n
“Valantino” will screen exclusively on Watch It, in addition to CBC, DMC AND ON TV channels. The series is produced by Synergy. <\/p>\n
In the series, Emam will embody the role of an international school’s owner named Nour Abdel Mageed, who is married to a gloomy wife, the matter that will drive him to fall in love with another woman. <\/p>\n
Egypt and the Arab world celebrated the birthday of the one and only Adel Emam on May 17. <\/p>\n
The legendary actor is Egypt\u2019s biggest actor for over four decades of box office hits, series, and plays under his belt. <\/p>\n
Emam’s immortal role in “Madrasat El-Mushaghebeen” as Bahgat el-Abaseiry led him to shoot to stardom in theatre. <\/p>\n
Emam then performed a number of successful roles in plays like “Shahed Mashafsh Haga” (A witness who didn\u2019t see anything), “El-Wad Sayed El-Shaghal” (the servant named Sayed), “El-Zaiim” (The Leader) and “Body Guard”. <\/p>\n
His cinematic repertoire includes a number of movies like “Ehena Betoaa el Autobees”, “El-Avocato” (The Lawyer), “El-Irhab Wel Kabab”(Terrorism and Kebab), \u201cBakhit We Adeela\u201d, \u201cAmir El-Zalam\u201d (Prince of Darkness), \u201cAris Men Geha Amneya\u201d, “El-Sefara Fel Omara” (The Embassy in the Building), \u201cAlzheimer\u201d, and \u201cBobos\u201d. <\/p>\n

After a long hiatus, he returned back to TV series in 2012 through “Fer\u2019et Naji Atallah ” (Naji Atallah\u2019s group) , continuing his annual presence in Ramadan marathon every year through a number of successful series such as ” El Araf\u201d (The fortune teller), \u201cSaheb el sa\u2019ada\u201d (His highness), \u201cAfaret Adli Alam\u201d(Adli Alam\u2019s Ghosts), and “Awalem Khafeya\u201d (Hidden Worlds) in 2018. <\/p>\n
Emam has won seven awards, including two from the Cairo National Festival for Egyptian Cinema for Best Actor for his roles in \u201cEl-Irhabi\u201d (The Terrorist) and \u201cOmaret Yacoubian\u201d (The Yacoubian Building). <\/p>\n
The Yacoubian Building also earned him an International Jury Award at the S\u00e3o Paulo International Film Festival and a Special Mention for Actor in a Narrative Feature from the Tribeca Film Festival. <\/p>\n
The Dubai international Film festival awarded him twice the Lifetime Achievement Award, in 2005 and 2008. Emam was also awarded the Golden Star in 2014 at Marrakech International Film Festival, the Golden Tanit in 2016 at Carthage Film Festival and the Career Achievement Award at the first edition of El Gouna Film Festival. <\/p>\n
Despite being the most important comedian in the history of Egyptian cinema, he performed in serious dramatic works while maintaining his comedic style, reflecting ordinary citizens’ struggles with powerful social or political pressures. <\/p>\n
Emam is the only actor in the history of Egyptian art who remained number one all these years. <\/p>\n
