This comes within the framework of ongoing consultations between the two countries. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance the Egyptian-American relations and strengthen cooperation at all levels during the coming period. <\/p>\n
The two ministers stressed the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on various topics and regional issues of mutual concern, the spokesperson said. <\/p>\n
Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi visited Washington in April, where he held discussions with US President Donald Trump. During the meeting, Sisi asserted the Palestinians’ right to establishing a state based on the borders before the 1967 war, with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital. <\/p>\n
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said in a press statement that the meeting tackled several economic topics, most importantly the trade exchange between Egypt and the United States amid the successful economic reform in Egypt to create a better investment environment.<\/p>\n
