Around 3,500 employees at the Finance Ministry will be transferred to the New Administrative Capital (NAC) by March 2020 after receiving their units in the government district in January 2020, announced Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait in a press conference Friday. <\/p>\n
During the conference held at the Almasa Capital Hotel in the New Administrative Capital, Maait said that the number of employees of the Ministry of Finance and its various departments including the General Court, the Tax and Customs Services amount to 200,000 employees and that they will be transferred gradually. <\/p>\n
On May 2018, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs also planned to move 40 percent of the employees of its General Offices to the new administrative capital, Egyptian Minister of Endowments Mohammed Mokhtar Gomaa stated. <\/p>\n
According to the ministry\u2019s plan, around 700 employees of the main general offices will be moved to the New Capital within the coming 10 months. <\/p>\n
A source at the Endowments Ministry stated that its new headquarter will include for the first time both the ministry\u2019s departments and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. <\/p>\n
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has laid the first stone of the New Administrative Capital in East Cairo on July, 14. With an area of 170,000 feddans, the new capital will include 20 residential areas expected to accommodate 6.5 million people and a road network of 650 km in length. The capital will include an international airport and an electric train to link it with the 10th of Ramadan and El-Salam cities. <\/p>\n
It will feature 1,250 mosques and churches, a 5,000-seat conference center, nearly 2,000 schools and colleges, over 600 medical facilities, and a park that is projected to be the world\u2019s largest. <\/p>\n
The New Administrative Capital is located in the area between the Cairo-Suez and Cairo-Ain Sokhna roads, east of the regional ring road. This is roughly 60km from the cities of Suez and Ain Sokhna.<\/p>\n
