Egypt and the United Kingdom have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Thursday to increase cooperation between both countries in the health sector. <\/p>\n
According to Thursday statement issued by the British embassy in Egypt, British Ambassador to Egypt Geoffrey Adams and Dr. Ahmed Hussein Elsobky, Assistant for Minister of Health Hala Zayed, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to increase cooperation between Egypt and the United Kingdom in the health sector. <\/p>\n
It was added that the MOU aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and skills between the two countries, as well as to offer training to medical professionals in Egypt. The agreement will also encourage joint work between representatives from both countries to invest in human capital. <\/p>\n
\u201cQuality healthcare services are crucial to all nations, especially to a growing one like Egypt. We are keen to share our expertise with our Egyptian partners to improve and modernize services to Egyptians, and to strengthen the training of medical professionals. World leading British medical companies such as GSK, AstraZeneca and Bupa are operating in Egypt, and our new agreement will encourage more companies to seek investment opportunities in the healthcare sector.\u201d British Ambassador to Egypt said commenting on the signing. <\/p>\n
Earlier this month, the British Ambassador met with Egypt\u2019s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and agreed to strength British-Egyptian cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
