Minister of Culture Inas Abdel-Dayem arrived in Morocco Dec. 1, heading the Egyptian delegation participating in the celebrations of Oujda, to launch the Egyptian Cultural Week in the celebrations held under the auspices of King Mohammed VI. <\/p>\n
Ambassador of Egypt in Morocco, Ashraf Ibrahim, and the Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of Culture, Abdalla Afifi, were also in attendance. <\/p>\n
Abdel Dayem stressed on the keenness of the ministries of culture in Egypt and Morocco to celebrate the cultural events that reflect the cultural diversity of Egypt. <\/p>\n
The Egyptian Cultural Week in the celebrations of Oujda, the capital of Arab culture, includes presentations combining a variety of creative elements. <\/p>\n
The first Egyptian show is set to take place on Dec. 2 and will be performed by the Arab Music Ensemble: Mohammed al-Khouli, Marwa Hamdi, Mustafa al-najdi and Nehad Fathy. An exhibition on artistic heritage is also set to take place on Dec. 2. <\/p>\n
The second day of the cultural week, Dec. 3, an intellectual symposium on cultural memory, identity building and a joint Egyptian-Moroccan music dialogue will be held. The seminar will be attended by a number of Egyptian and Moroccan intellectuals and writers. <\/p>\n
Ambassador of Egypt in Morocco, Ibrahim, praised the Egyptian participation in the celebrations of Oujda, and organized a diverse Egyptian Cultural Week reflecting the richness and cultural depth of Egypt. <\/p>\n
Ibrahim stressed that there is a growing interest in activating cultural cooperation and supporting cultural exchange between both countries by organizing cultural and artistic events throughout the year that involve the honoring of intellectual, literary and artistic symbols. <\/p>\n
