\u201cUS citizens should continue to follow sound security practices and adhere to the security guidelines provided in the Travel Warning for Egypt issued by the State Department on December 23, 2016,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n
The guidelines instructed American nationals to avoid traveling to the Western Desert and the Sinai Peninsula, except to Sharm el-Sheikh via airplane.<\/p>\n
